As expected, we’ll be getting a Detective Pikachu in-game event to coincide with the release of the movie in theaters. The event will begin tomorrow (5/7) and run until 5/17.
This will include the following:
Increased spawns for Pokemon seen in the movie
Double XP for catches
Photobombs by Detective Pikachu which you can then catch
New raid battles featuring Pokemon seen in the movie
New Field Research based on Pokemon seen in the movie
New avatar items
Shiny Aipom will be available
